Meet the Team

Chief Operations Officer
Suki Thomas
Suki Thomas is our dedicated Designated Safeguarding Lead, bringing years of experience in supporting international students. Originally from Hong Kong, Suki moved to the UK as a teenager to attend boarding school herself. At that time, safeguarding support was limited and she faced several challenges without the guidance of a guardian. This experience provided Suki with a profound understanding of the difficulties international students face whilst studying abroad. This inspired her to commit herself to safeguarding and guardianship for other international students to ensure that every international student receives the care and support they need as they adjust to their new, culturally different environment.
Her unwavering commitment to student welfare, focusing on finding compassionate host families and creating strong connections between students, parents, schools and guardians. With a deep understanding of the unique needs of international students, she works to establish a safe and nurturing environment that allows them to feel truly at home.
Suki collaborates closely with schools, building strong relationships and gaining in-depth knowledge of each institution’s policies and culture to ensure the best possible support for students as they transition. She regularly communicates with Teachers, Houseparents and School Management to ensure each student’s academic and personal needs are met in a timely and thoughtful manner.
Fluent in English, Cantonese and Mandarin, Suki is adept at connecting with students and parents from diverse cultural backgrounds. She bridges language barriers and fosters cultural understanding, ensuring that every student can thrive in a safe and supportive environment.

Chief Commercial Officer
Hailey Lau
Hailey Lau is our Chief Commercial Officer and dedicated parent and student liaison based in Hong Kong.
Originally from Malaysia, Hailey earned her Bachelor's degree in Marketing from California Polytechnic State University. Having studied abroad, she understands the unique challenges faced by international students.
With extensive experience in education and guardianship in Hong Kong and the UK, Hailey has developed a deep understanding of the needs of international students and their parents.
Hailey excels in communication, effortlessly connecting with students, parents and agents.
Fluent in four languages - English, Mandarin, Cantonese, and Malay, she ensures that language barriers never hinder her in her ability to provide support.
One of Hailey’s greatest passions is seeing students grow and thrive. She works closely with schools and parents to help students navigate their academic and extracurricular journeys whilst ensuring a healthy balance between their studies and well-being.
Her dedication to fostering a supportive and inclusive environment makes her an invaluable asset to Aspire and the families she works with.
More than just a guide, Hailey is a trusted mentor and advocate, helping students transition smoothly into life abroad.
She provides personalised support, addressing both academic needs and emotional well-being. Drawing from her own experience studying overseas, she offers practical advice and reassurance, empowering students (and parents) to build confidence and adapt to new environments with ease.
